Home Schooling Made Simple For Preschoolers
In this article I will go over how to start Homeschooling your Preschooler. And give you Tips on Home Class Routines, how to set a schedule, and share the Curriculum that me and my Husband use at home with Our 2 preschoolers.

So let’s get into ideas on how to start homeschooling your Preschoolers who are not yet ready to attend in school or virtual classes.
1. Create a Designated Learning Space. Find a place in your home that will have enough room for learning and teaching. Homeschooling is fun and exciting but also can be messy so you want to make sure you have enough space for projects as well. If you have a smaller home and space is just not what you have, be creative but make sure wherever in your home you choose to home school you and your little one will have enough room to navigate around.
2. Follow a Daily Schedule. Plan a set schedule that works well for you and your little one and stay consistent on the days and times. This teaches your little one to get into a routine and have some schedule in place while also keeping your household from getting too hectic. Also keep in mind with younger children you do not want to make them sit and learn for a 6-7 hour day. By this being said, break down your subjects to 15-20 minutes of teaching, 15- 20 minutes hands on and take a small break after that. What works well with us is also separating the subjects by days. I teach Mondays & Wednesdays Writing & Reading. My husband teaches Tuesdays & Thursdays Math & Reading. Fridays we both go over everything that was learned that week in all three subject’s. I have included a sample of our schedule below.
3. Set Learning Goals and Mile Stones. Homeschooling gives you and your child a way to customize and direct their education. When you have a vision and goal set for your child you are more likely to achieve those learning outcomes.
4. Be Creative. Being creative is very important to keep your child's attention in a home school setting. Teaching and learning do not have to be so boring. Use bright colors and do hands-on activities. Do outings for teaching. Link up with other homeschooling parents in your community for group field trips. Take time to “de school”. Homeschooling isn't about replicating school in your home. The goal is to educate but always keep in mind each child has different styles in learning.
Curriculum
Now that is time to start your preschooler with school activities, let's start out by talking about schedule ideas. Every household schedule is different whether you are working outside of the home or from home you want to be able to set a schedule that works well for you and your preschooler. When homeschooling you don’t want to overwhelm your child with too much information at once. For preschoolers it is ideal to homeschool for an hour and a half to 2 hours. Whether you find it best to homeschool in the morning or afternoon, or perhaps even break up your home schooling day into 15-30 minute increments, the choice is yours. Find out what is best for your child and your household and make necessary changes along the way!
Below we have provided a list of subjects that are typically taught when homeschooling a preschooler. To find out if you are to teach any specific subject, it is important to check your state’s homeschooling requirements.

Preschoolers Learning Objectives
Reading to your PreSchooler should be a daily routine. Although most PreSchoolers are not yet reading, they are gaining valuable skills in communication and in literacy as you read to them. These skills will help them begin to recognize sounds, learn new words, and grasp the basic concepts of reading comprehension.
