I want to switch it up a little bit with CelebTea’s recipe section since I’m on my healthier life journey. I know all of these mouth watering recipes are hard to pass up! But, I want to include more healthier foods in this section as well. So, In this article I will go over natural foods, herbal remedies, getting back to the basics starting in the home to a healthy mind, body and soul, and give you tips on activities you can include in your everyday life that will help you live a well balanced life!

Are The Food We Ingest Killing Us?

With all of the diseases we have today and seeing it get worse year after year we have to ask the question, Is the food we are ingesting killing us? The answer is yes. 80% of the food we are ingesting today is unhealthy especially if you are eating a lot of processed foods. Most processed foods consist of harmful ingredients for taste and it takes a significant amount of chemicals to preserve these processed foods. Unfortunately, most of us are unaware of the fact that these processed foods are the main contributor to diseases such as High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Autoimmune Disease, and even Cancer. Processed foods have also been linked to Migraines, Memory Loss, Skin Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Blood Clotting, PH Imbalance, Heavy Menstrual, and Hair Loss.

What can I do differently in my everyday diet that will make me and my children a lower risk factor of being prone to these diseases?

Fist things first, you are what you eat! Think of your body as a vehicle. What makes your vehicle run smoothly? Everything you eat becomes a part of not only your Inner Being, but the outer shell of you body as well. The healthier the food is that you consume, the better your vehicle will work. With the diseases we face today it is imperative that we change the foods we consume.

We talked about how unhealthy processed foods are for us, so now let's get into why meat is not included in the list above. Like processed foods, meat contributes to diseases as well. Meat builds up mucus which can cause breathing difficulties and infections. Red meats increase your risk of death from heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and are basically linked to everything mentioned earlier in this article including nerve damage, inflammation, and vaginal discharge. Meat carries food borne illnesses, significantly increases your risk of cancer, has tons of artificial hormones that are injected into it, and is very high in saturated fat. Nothing pertaining to meat is good for us. 

 

 

Retrain yourself to do something other than what you were taught or other than the habit you fell into. Just as the term “if you knew better you’ll do better,” RESEARCH WHAT YOU ARE PUTTING INTO YOUR BODY. Changing the way you eat can be included in your self care regiment by planning new meals for your family to try that does not include meat or any processed foods.

So how do we start getting back to the basics of a healthy mind, body, and soul? Everything we have learned has been taught in the home environment. From the way we eat, the relationships we develop, and how we communicate. Getting back to the basics after identifying what is creating the problem and retraining your thought process. Changing the way we eat improves our health physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually believe it or not.
